Two logins, two jobs
- Your client area at my.dredgehost.com is for the account side: invoices, payment cards, changing plans, and support.
- cPanel is the control panel for the hosting itself: files, databases, email accounts, domains, and SSL certificates.
You only need to remember the client area login. cPanel opens from inside it.
Log in to cPanel
- Sign in at my.dredgehost.com.
- Open Services and click your hosting plan.
- Click Log in to cPanel. It opens in a new tab, already signed in.
You can also go straight to https://yourdomain.com/cpanel once your domain
points at Dredge, using the cPanel username and password from your welcome email.
Things you'll use most in cPanel
- File Manager for uploading and editing your site's files.
- Email Accounts for mailboxes on your domain.
- Domains for adding extra domains and subdomains.
- WordPress Manager or Softaculous for one-click app installs.
- SSL/TLS Status for your free HTTPS certificates.
- Backup for downloading a copy of everything.
The search box at the top of cPanel finds any tool by name, which is usually faster than scrolling.
Billing and plan changes
- Pay or download an invoice: Billing → My Invoices.
- Update your card: Billing → Payment Methods.
- Move up or down a plan: open your service and choose Upgrade/Downgrade. Upgrades apply right away.
- Cancel: open your service and choose Request Cancellation.
Keep your account safe
Turn on two-factor authentication in the client area under your name → Security Settings, and in cPanel under Two-Factor Authentication. Use a password manager so each login has its own password.
