Terms of Service

Last updated: October 9, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Dredge Host ("Dredge", "we", "us"), a sole proprietorship based in New York. By ordering or using a Dredge account, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and readable. If something is unclear, email support@dredgehost.com and ask.

Who can sign up

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. The information you give us, including your name, email, and billing details, has to be accurate, and you're responsible for keeping it current.

What you're buying

Each plan (Silt, Channel, and Harbor) is a shared hosting account with the limits published on our pricing page. Those limits are real: disk space, monthly transfer, number of sites, email accounts, databases, and hourly outgoing email are all capped. Nothing on Dredge is unlimited.

Every account is also bound by our Acceptable Use Policy, which sets out what can and can't be hosted on Dredge.

If you register or transfer a domain through us, it's registered in your name for the period you pay for, through our registrar partner, Internet.bs. Domains renew at the renewal price on our pricing page, which can differ from the first-year price. Domain registrations also follow the rules of the domain's registry and ICANN, including keeping your contact details accurate.

If you buy NordVPN through us, we handle the billing, and the VPN service itself is provided by NordVPN under its own terms.

Billing

Plans are billed monthly, quarterly, or yearly, in advance, in US dollars. Invoices are emailed before each due date and paid through your client area at my.dredgehost.com. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

If an invoice is unpaid 5 days after its due date, your account is suspended: your sites and email stop working, but your data stays put. Pay the invoice and the account is restored automatically. If an account stays suspended for 30 days, we'll email you a final notice and may then delete it and its data.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Changing or cancelling your plan

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your client area at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the period you've already paid for.

We may change the prices of our plans for new orders at any time. Existing customers keep the price they signed up at for as long as that plan stays active on their account. If you switch to a different plan, or cancel and sign up again later, the current price for that plan applies.

Promo codes apply only to the order they're used on. A discount on your first order doesn't carry over to renewals, which are billed at the plan's regular price.

Your content and your responsibilities

You own everything you host with us. You give us only the permission we need to store, serve, and back it up as part of running the service.

You're responsible for what's on your account, including anything your site's visitors or users post there, and for keeping your passwords, software, and plugins secure and up to date. An outdated WordPress plugin is the most common way hosting accounts get hacked.

Backups

We don't back up your account. Keeping your own backups of anything you can't afford to lose is your responsibility, and we can't recover data that's deleted or lost from your account.

Uptime and support

We work to keep the platform fast and online, and we'll post known problems on our status page. We don't offer a formal uptime guarantee or service credits. Support is by email to a real person, and we aim to reply within 48 hours on Silt, 24 hours on Channel, and 3–12 hours on Harbor, 7 days a week.

Suspension and termination by us

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, that puts other customers or the platform at risk, or when the law requires it. When we can, we'll contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. For serious violations, such as illegal content, malware, phishing, or spam, we may act immediately.

Liability

The service is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, Dredge isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, or lost business, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

You agree to cover Dredge's costs if a third party brings a claim against us because of content on your account or your breach of these terms.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something hosted on Dredge infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent:

Alex Junior Treashee, Dredge Host
20 Dicktown Road, Carmel, NY 10512
Phone: 914-462-9633
Email: rubyxf@tutamail.com

Include the material's location, the work you believe is infringed, your contact details, and a statement made under penalty of perjury that you're the rights holder or authorized to act for them. We respond to valid notices and counter-notices under the DMCA, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Changes to these terms

If we make a meaningful change, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Dredge after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York.
