Create a forwarder
- In cPanel, open Forwarders.
- Click Add Forwarder.
- Type the address you want to forward from (e.g.
hello) and pick your domain. - Under Destination, choose Forward to Email Address and enter the inbox you want mail sent to.
- Click Add Forwarder.
That's it. Emails to hello@yourdomain.com will appear in your
Gmail or Outlook inbox within seconds.
Forward everything (catch-all)
If you want any address at your domain to forward to one place:
- On the Forwarders page, scroll to Default Address and click Set Default Address.
- Select Forward to Email Address and enter the destination.
- Click Change.
A catch-all can attract spam. If you only need a few addresses, individual forwarders are a better fit.
Reply as your domain
Forwarding gets mail to you, but replies go out from your Gmail or
Outlook address. To send as hello@yourdomain.com, set up a
"Send mail as" alias in your email provider. Gmail explains this under
Settings > Accounts > Send mail as.
Forwarder vs. mailbox
A forwarder doesn't store anything — it just passes mail along. If you want a full mailbox with its own login and webmail, follow the Set up email on your domain guide instead. You can also create a mailbox and a forwarder for the same address, so mail stays on the server and a copy goes to your personal inbox.
